Welcome to NWMMEA District #1
The high school band will rehearse in the Band Room and the middle school band in the Choir Room. Failure to be at the rehearsal will jeopardize the student’s position in the District Jazz Band as well as their ability to audition for the State Jazz Band.
Registration will begin at 8:00 AM and rehearsals start at 8:30 AM. The concert is open to the public and will start at 5:00 PM in the Potter Hall Theatre. It will feature the District Middle School Jazz Band, District High School Jazz Band and the MWSU Jazz Ensemble.
We are proud to announce that the 2021 Honor Band conductor is Professor Skip Vandelicht, Director of Bands at Central Methodist University, and Roy Maxwell, Retired Director of Bands from St. Joe Central, will serve as the Concert Band conductor.
